Summer Gymnastics
(Ages 2 & up)
Gymnastics builds strength, flexibility and coordination. This is a non-competitive program that incorporates group warm-ups with small group instruction on several Olympic events: beam, bars, vault and springboard, and tumbling as well as our mini-tramp and interactive equipment.

Cheerleading
(Ages 5 & up)
Classes introduce beginners to the sport of cheerleading and teach basic cheers, jumps, dance and tumbling moves in a non-competitive environment.

Teen Fit Classes
(Ages 11-16 - Facility Members Only)
Each 8-week class is geared for Teens and includes the latest cutting edge exercises, moves, equipment, and techniques with the best instructors. Cost for the 8-week summer session is only $30 (nonrefundable registration fee) and gives you access to ALL our “TEEN-FIT” classes this summer. Session runs from June 2-Aug 1.

Racquetball for Kids
(Ages 9 & up)
Learn basic play, rules, shot selection, technique and much more. Instructor provides racquet and balls, but if you have your own equipment please bring it. Each spring session meets for 4 classes and each summer session meets for 6 classes. See the Welcome Center for schedule and prices.
Pilates for Teens
(Ages 12 & up)
Improve strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. Limit 9, class uses the Pilates reformers and Pilates equipment. AM or PM session available. Class meets once a week for 4 weeks (8 classes). Class held in Room C.

Fit Kids Club
(Ages 8-11) This program is designed to introduce youth to strength training. Youth utilize specialized weight equipment designed with the needs of this age group in mind. They receive individualized instruction from a YMCA Fitness Coach on proper strength training techniques, safety and weight room etiquette. Cardio machines are also introduced. Older Youth Strength Training - Level 1
(Ages 12-15) Designed with youth in mind. Not just an orientation, this class will take your youth through the proper etiquette, technique and safety in the weight room. A test is involved to insure that your youth has grasped the concept of the responsibility that comes with the weight room. Classes are included with a full facility family membership.

Older Youth Strength Training - Level 2
(Ages 14-16) For those that have been through and passed Older Youth Strength Training - Level 1 and are ready to move into more advanced training techniques and free weights. Class will meet once (4th Friday of the month) from 5:30-7:15pm. For class dates or more information call Kevin at

Music & Motion
(Ages 4-8) This 45-min class will introduce kids to the world of creative movement and music. Combines various dance and movement activities with singing and the use of musical instruments. Each child will receive his/her own practice recorder for them to keep after the session ends.

Kids Yoga

Kids Bodypump®

Tae Kwon Do
(Ages 7 & up/Families welcome) Learn how to develop physical and mental strength. Whether you are a beginner or working on your belt color rank tests, we have a class for you. Taught by Karl S. Baltz, Sr. 3rd degree Black Belt and our staff of black belt instructors.

Developmental Tae Kwon Do
(Ages 4-6) Just 40 minutes long, join our newest Tae Kwon Do class specially designed to teach the fundamentals and techniques in a fun, non-competitive environment. All students will be at the white belt level and will progress to our belt testing system when they turn 7. Sessions run quarterly (2nd quarter April 2-June 30, 3rd quarter July 2-Sep 30). No classes: May 26, Aug 27-Sep 1) .
Kids Hip Hop
(Ages 7 & up/Facility Members Only) Dance with real pro’s and learn the latest moves. No dance experience is necessary … just a fun attitude. Class meets once a week. Class held in Room B.

Kids Circuit Conditioning
(Ages 8 and up/Facility Members Only) Class is split into 15 minutes of Cardio/Circuit conditioning (may include; walking, running, jump roping, basic step, spinning, kickbox, bosu) and 15 minutes of core strengthening exercises (free weights, bands, tubes, medicine balls, resist-a-balls) and finishes with 10 minutes of abs, Pilates and stretching.

Boxing Clinics
(Ages 8 and up) Come learn some REAL boxing skills from a REAL pro. Roscoe Hill, former trainer for George Foreman, will help you learn some basic boxing skills. No boxing experience is necessary for level one clinic. Experience required for level 2 clinics. Please bring hand wraps.

Babysitting Class
(Ages 11-15) The Cypress Creek EMS will be teaching their “babysitting” course for 11-15 year olds on Fri, April 4 from 5:00-9:00pm or Friday, May 30 from 5:00-9:00pm in the Family Activity Center.
Cost: $25 ($5 nonrefundable fee to
the YMCA when you sign up and reserve your spot in class) and $20 payable to Cypress Creek EMS at the time of the class.
Fee includes pizza for a meal break. Space is limited to 20. See Welcome Center for more information.
Kids Triathlon Training Club
(Ages 7-12) This clinic will teach kids all about triathlons. Teaching kids proper training technique through fun “brick workouts”, swim clinic, bike clinic, run clinic, triathlon history, transitions and set up, eating for energy, kids core/strength movements and much more.
This clinic will also help kids prepare for the Kiwanis Club Youth Triathlon Series to be held monthly at various Houston area YMCAs throughout the summer.
Participants will need the following equipment: running shoes, swim suit, towel, goggles, water bottle, and a bike and helmet. Instructor will provide a course outline at the first class. Please bring running shoes, water bottle, swim suit, goggles and towel to the first class.
