The YMCA of Greater Houston Camping dates back to 1910 when a group of 75 boys from 8 Bible classes enjoyed their outings at Rollover on the Bolivar Peninsula. It was an ideal ground for camp offering swimming and beach areas for playing and fishing. This first experience in camping turned into two,10-day camping sessions, and YMCA Camping was born!

Through the years the camping venues have changed but the YMCA character values have remained and continue to be taught to thousands of children each year.

We strive to create a safe and positive environment where campers can flourish in self-challenge, creativity, friendship and fun.

Itty Bitty Summer Day Camp

(Ages 3-5) This day camp is especially designed for campers ready for their first day camp experience! Join us for a day full of fun, crafts, games, field trips, and activities made just for you!

Explorer Summer Day Camp

(Ages 6-8) When you’re ready to take summer camp to the next level! Explorer camp includes age appropriate games, crafts, activities, swimming, and so much more with an emphasis on the YMCA core values of respect, responsibility, honesty, caring and faith.

Adventurer Summer Day Camp

(Ages 8-10) Are you ready for an adventure? Enjoy a summer filled with challenge and adventure! This camp is specifically designed for campers that are ready for a true summer camp experience. Join us for games, crafts, field trips, guest speakers and
much more.

Teen Camp

(Ages 11-15) Have your teen participate in a fun summer program that will provide them the opportunity to grow personally, mentally, physically, and most of all have FUN! This camp includes teen field trips, competitions, YMCA Teen special events, swimming. outings and much more!

Fees: $205.00 FM / $215.00 PM

A non-refundable $25.00 per session deposit is required to reserve a space. This deposit will be deducted from the day camp fee at the beginning of each session.
