The North Harris County YMCA participates in the YMCA of the USA’s A.W.A.Y. program. When you become a member, you have access to hundreds of participating YMCA families throughout the U.S. Inquire at the Welcome Center for more information.Lockers/Valuables
Small lockers are available for day-use only. You supply your own lock and may not leave articles in these lockers overnight. The locks will be cut off and the contents removed. The YMCA assumes no responsibility for the removed contents or the cut lock. We recommend that you not bring valuables to the YMCA and that you not leave valuables visible in your car.Membership Card Policy
Members must bring their cards with them each time they visit the facility. If you do not bring your card, you will be asked to show a photo ID. This policy is for the protection of our members.Lost and Found
Please turn in all “found” articles to the Welcome Center. If you have lost an item, please inquire at the Welcome Center.Telephones
There is a courtesy phone located at the gate access counter. For the convenience of all our members, please limit your phone calls to 5 minutes.First Aid/Emergencies
Should you need assistance for first aid, contact any staff person or go to the member check-in area. Please locate the emergency exits throughout the building. In case of fire, please use the closest exit to leave the building.If you have a child in Child Watch, your child will be taken by a staff member to the parking lot area. In instances where the building loses electricity, members will be asked to come to the front lobby until the power returns. During threatening weather, members may be asked to wait in the aerobics room until the threat of danger passes.
Disciplinary Action
If any member or guest violates any of the YMCA’s guidelines or abuses the facility, they will be dropped from membership and indefinitely suspended from using the YMCA in the future. Any member or guest who provokes or partakes in any violent behavior such as fighting will be indefinitely suspended from using the facility.Youth Policy
Members must be age 12 to use the facility without a parent or legal guardian on site. Youth under 16 are restricted from the Wellness Center unless they have completed a YMCA Older Youth Strength Training Class.YMCA Guests
YMCA members are permitted to bring guests to the YMCA under the following guidelines:- Only 1 guest per Facility Member per visit.
- Guests may visit the YMCA 3 times per year and must show a photo ID at the Welcome Center Desk.
- Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult Facility Member 18 or older and sign a facility waiver.
