Summer Swim Lessons
(Ages 6 months & up) The YMCA offers a wide range of swimming options for the whole family. Swimming builds self-confidence and develops the whole person- spirit,
mind and body.
Classes are divided into ability groups and trained instructors emphasize personal safety, swimming skills, endurance and social skills, while guiding students with praise and encouragement. Classes are Mon-Thu (with Fri being make-up days) for 40 mins each day.
The class forms with 3 or more participants. If we only have 2 participants register, then the class will be treated as a private swim lesson for 2 participants. The session will be 1 week long for 30 minutes each day. Once class begins; only credits will be issued if class is dropped.

Water related exercises that increase cardiovascular fitness as well as improving overall strength.
The water provides support for the body, and the risk of muscle or joint injury is greatly reduced, if not completely eliminated.
A great advantage in aquatic fitness activities is that both swimmers and Non-Swimmers can participate as it is only done in chest deep water.
The Water can provide for up to 90% of your body weight is supported, greatly reducing the strain on muscles bones and joints.
Classes: Mon-Thu, 11:15am-12:00pm and 7:15-8:00pm beginning June 9 (check the YMCA for a modified spring schedule)
