Teen Strength Training Program
This course will ensure the safety and well- being of our members. A mandatory educational class and certification is required for 12-15 year olds to use the Fitness Center. Private sessions are also available.

Keep that summer time shape going and firm it up with a rock-solid training program. Nothing gets you in shape like Boot Camp and now take Boot Camp Lite. Same program with a little less intensity.

Wellness Orientation
New YMCA members will have their workout program set up on Fitlinxx® with one of our YMCA-certified program trainers. The trainer will teach you how to use the equipment, free weights and
cardio machines.
Your appointment will be personalized and designed to ensure that you get the workout you are looking for. If you have any medical concerns, you will need to submit a signed doctor’s release ( one will be provided by the YMCA). Stop by the 2nd floor Wellness Desk or call 713-781-1061 ext. 128 to schedule your orientation. Reservations are taken at the Wellness Desk in the
Women’s Center.

Come join Weight Watchers at the Trotter Family YMCA.

Complete Wellness for Women
A 4-week program designed to introduce women to the world of weight training, cardiovascular training and various methods of improving total health through lifestyle modification. Program includes identification of free weight room equipment, safety, exercise instruction and basic program design.
10-week Comprehensive Program
A heart rate monitor is required for this program. If you do not have one, you may purchase one from the Welcome Desk with this program at a discounted rate.

All trainers hold either a Bachelors in Exercise and are nationally certified by PFIT, NSCA, ACSM, ACE or other certifying agencies approved by the YMCA Health & Wellness Director.

The Women’s Center promotes strength training and conditioning with access to free weights, strength training machines, and a variety of cardiovascular equipment.
The Women’s Center also promotes relaxation with a new massage room and gathering area for women to rest and enjoy a cup of tea! Our new center is loaded with member services such as:
- State-of-the-art StarTrac cardio equipment with personal DVD and viewing screens
- New StarTrac easy-to-use strength training equipment
- 30-minute circuit workouts
