Parent/Child
(6 mos-3 yrs) Led by a trained Parent/Child Instructor, the class design is very casual. The class covers the basic fundamentals of play with songs, positive communication and
water adjustment.
Preschool
(3-5 years)
Beginner: (Pike, Eel) These classes are for the child who is either afraid of the water and does not put their face in the water or the child who will attempt skills with assistance but cannot kick or glide properly. This class will teach the basic body positions of front, back, side, along with beginning breath control. Basic arm and leg movements will also be taught.
Advanced: (Ray, Starfish) This class is for the child who can swim using the three different body positions of front, back, side, with the corresponding arm and leg movements. The child needs to have a good understanding of breath control and must be able to swim without the aid of an instructional flotation device.
Youth
(6 yrs and up)
Beginner: (Polliwog, Guppy) For the beginner swimmer who has no swimming experience or for the beginner who can swim 10 to 20 seconds with or without a flotation device using the front, back and side positions.
Advanced: (Minnow, Fish/Flying Fish) These classes are for the child who can perform the front crawl stroke with rotary breathing, backstroke, elementary backstroke, breaststroke and sidestroke for a minimum of 50 yards.
Adults/Teens
This class is designed for anyone desiring to improve their swimming skills. This is for the non-swimmer as well as the adult/teen who would like to “polish” some of their strokes.
Pre-Season Stroke Clinic
(5yrs-adult) Prepare for summer swim team or just a refresher for your rusty stroke.
