MOVEMENT

Tumbling

This program works with your child to develop coordination, balance, strength, flexibility and self-esteem. Each class develops your child’s physical capabilities with emphasis on large motor skills while encouraging your child to do their best and believe in themselves. Children must be potty trained to attend class. All classes in gym.

Cheer! & Lil' Cheer!

Come and learn the basics of cheerleading including tumbling, jumps and motion. Come see how fun cheering can be in an age-appropriate, noncompetitive environment. Includes “mini-recital” at the end of the session, week of July 21. Children must be fully potty trained to attend class. All classes in gym.

Stretch & Grow

Enjoy an exercise program for young children combining strength, flexibility and endurance to develop purposeful exercise routines that target muscle groups and teach children how to improve strength.

Dance! Ballet, Tap & Hip-Hop

Each class offers age-appropriate dance work, including a mini-recital during the last class. Dance 2 is a new class offered this semester, which includes more technical movement offered to those late preschoolers (ages 4-5) who have completed 2 semesters of dance at the YMCA. Leotard, ballet and tap shoes are required. Children must be fully potty trained.

Taekwondo

Our classes are instructed by staff from Young Brothers Taekwondo. This class builds coordination, balance, timing, focus, character and self-confidence. Each class offers age-appropriate Taekwondo work.

ARTS & HUMANITIES

Creative Art

Enjoy creating art from clay using tools, working with shapes while making and painting your very own project. Please have child dress in play clothes - creativity can be messy! Please bring a cover up for your child to prevent their clothing from being soiled by the clay. All classes are in the SMPR.

First Aid, CPR & AED for schools and the community

This class is for you to learn the knowledge and skills necessary to help sustain life and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until advanced medical help arrives. The content and activities will help you identify and eliminate potentially hazardous conditions, recognize emergencies and make appropriate decisions for first aid care.
Upon successful completion of the course you will be issued an American Red Cross CPR/AED Adult & Child certification, CPR Child & Infant certification and a Standard First Aid certification.
There are no prerequisites for the class. A minimum of 4 participants are required to conduct the class. Please bring a lunch.
Ages: 16 and older
