Health & Wellness

The YMCA health and wellness programs are developmentally appropriate and help people at any stage of life build positive health habits. Participation in YMCA programs offers youth and adults opportunities for friendship and community, a sense of well-being, increased self-confidence and improved mental abilities.

The YMCA offers a wide variety of programs and services. As a member, you can workout at your leisure in our state-of-the-art Wellness Center; or you may want to be motivated by a personal trainer. Daily group exercise classes are also available.

Free Orientations

New members receive two complimentary orientations. Our YMCA trainers will assist you with proper body alignment, form, technique, breathing and machine adjustments. The first orientation consists of learning basic knowledge on all cardio machines and lower body strength equipment. The second orientation includes upper body strength equipment. Please schedule your 1st FREE orientation at the Welcome Center.

Older Youth Strength Training

(Ages 12-15) Youth who go through the sessions will learn the proper lifting form and technique. The sessions cover the basic guidelines for exercise. Must pass a written test at the end of the two sessions. After completing Older Youth Strength Training, youth can work out in the Wellness Center.

Belly Dancing

Tone your abs while learning the fun of belly dancing.

Ages: 16 & up

Personal Training

One-on-one individualized workout tailored to your needs. Sessions are held with a nationally certified trainer.

Ages: 15 & up

Fee: $35/hour

Location: Wellness Center

Registration: At the Welcome Center.

Group Cycling

Indoor cycling class “geared” for fun and fitness. Stimulates riding positions and terrain used in outdoor cycling.

Ages: 16 & up

Beginner Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates is based on progressive exercises that are derived from classic disciplines such as Pilates, Mat Science and Yoga. Conditioning will focus on core strength and stabilizing techniques.

Step Xpress

Ideal for those who enjoy a variety of moves and want a cardio challenge. For those who want a quick cardio workout. In and out in 45 mins.

SilverSneakers®

Combine fun and fitness through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
