The YMCA has always been a great fit for everyone and their family. Now, it’s also a great fit for every budget. Because we believe a healthier lifestyle should be available to all, we’re now offering Membership For All. Join the YMCA, and your monthly membership fee will be based on your annual household income. Our membership types are based on household types, we have no contracts to sign, a 30-day, moneyback guarantee on your joining fee, a comprehensive corporate membership plan and an AWAY program, in which you can use your Houston YMCA membership at other participating YMCAs across the country. La YMCA ofrece programas divertidas para toda la familia y hoy también es bien económico para ser miembro. La YMCA cree que todos merecen un estilo de vida saludable y por eso estamos ofreciendo Membership for All (Membresía Para Todos). Unase a la YMCA y su cuenta mensual de miembro estará basada en el ingreso anual de casa. No hay que firmar contratos y su cuenta inicial tiene garantía de devolución por 30 días. Se ofrecen planes corporativos y también el programa AWAY, donde se puede usar su membresía en varios YMCAs participantes (Entre los Estados Unidos).

Membership to the YMCA

At the YMCA, membership means friendship. The YMCA believes that we all need a place to belong. When you become a member of the YMCA, you will find programs and activities for every member of the family. Members can be part of the broader YMCA mission by working together to solve local problems, reaching out to others, volunteering, or fundraising. Belonging to the YMCA gives members an opportunity to strengthen themselves, their families and their communities.

The YMCA offers memberships to families, as well as great membership options for individuals, single-parent families, seniors and youth. All options feature easy payment plans and no contracts. The Citywide option lets members participate at any YMCA in the Greater Houston Area. These memberships include full use of the facility, free fitness classes, reduced fees on programs and more. The YMCA is a membership organization and therefore all participants must be members.

You have 2 options in your membership to the YMCA:  

FACILITY MEMBERSHIP

 is designed for those individuals or families who wish to have full facility use. A monthly membership is paid to the YMCA. Facility Members are also eligible for reduced fees on programs.

PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP

 is designed for those who want to participate in programs or activities but do not have full facility use. A yearly program membership fee is in addition to the fees of our programs and is renewable on an annual basis.

Membership Policies

For your safety and benefit, full service YMCA members will be provided a membership card which must be used to gain access to the facility.

For their safety, children under age 11 are not permitted in the Cardiovascular Center/Weight Room area at any time. Youth ages 12-15 are required to take Youth Strength Training. At all times, in all areas of the facility, children under age 12 must be enrolled in a supervised YMCA program activity or under direct supervision of an adult 18 years or older.

The YMCA, founded on Christian principles, prohibits inappropriate behavior relating to:

1. Profanity/Abusive language
2. Criminal conduct
3. Smoking/Alcohol consumption
4. Removal of YMCA property

The YMCA reserves the right to revoke any membership. Refunds will not be given after a program starts. Program fees may be credited toward other West Orem YMCA programs. The credit must be used within a 6-month period or it will become invalid. Complete refunds will be given when the YMCA has a class to cancel.

Members may bring up to 3 guests per year. Day passes are available $10 per person /day. Membership payment plans are available; please ask your Welcome Center Staff for details.

A lost membership card is available for $3.

Program Membership is available for those registering for YMCA programs only. The fee is $20 for a full year.

Child Watch Hours

Facility or Pool Rentals & Birthday Party Packages

A variety of functions and activities may be held either inside the YMCA or pool side. The YMCA is a smoke-free, drug-free, no-alcohol facility.

Party Packages that include the pool are available Sat & Sun evenings. Facility rental times are based on availability 7 days per week. Rental locations include:

• Gym
• Community Room
• Group Exercise Room and Pool

Kids Gym Moonwalk is also available for $100 per 2 hours.

Cost & Availability: YMCA Members receive a discount. Program Members pay 50% higher rate. Check with Welcome Center for more information or pick up one of our Facility Rental brochures.
