Because we believe a healthier lifestyle should be available to all, we offer an income-based fee scale. Join the YMCA and your monthly membership fee will be based on your annual household income.

Our membership types are based on household types. We have no contracts to sign, a 30-day money-back guarantee on your joining fee, a comprehensive corporate membership plan and an AWAY program, in which you can use your Houston membership at participating YMCAs across the country. Facility Membership Fees & Privileges: Facility Membership fees include a one-time joining fee and monthly membership dues. Membership rates vary among greater Houston-area YMCA facilities. To ensure the YMCA is easily accessible for all, we’ve created income-based rate scales, in which your monthly membership dues are based on your total household income. Program Membership

The YMCA is a member-based organization. To be eligible to register for any YMCA program, a Program Membership is required for those who are not Facility Members. This annual fee must be current in order to register or continue participation in YMCA programs.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are at the heart of the YMCA and that is why the YMCA is at the heart of the community. When you are a volunteer at the YMCA, you are part of a not-for-profit organization with a vision of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Your time and talent will translate into helping a child, mentoring a teen or providing support for families.
