Youth Sports

The YMCA believes that youth sports programs encourage and promote healthy and strong kids, families and communities by placing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition rather than rivalry, the value of participation over winning, team building as well as individual development, a positive self-image and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others.

Adventure Guides

The YMCA Adventure Guides program is designed to assist parents and school-aged children on a journey of discovery. The Adventure Guide Program does not have to be for just one parent and child, but may include the entire family unit. Typical activities that the Adventure Guides take part in include games, crafts, stories, skits and outdoor pursuits, such as camping, hiking and swimming. Sign up to camp across Texas!

Martial Arts

Martial Arts classes are taught by an experienced, certified black belt instructor.

Dance

(Ages 3 & up) For beginners, these classes will explore basic technique in ballet, jazz, tap and creative movement. The focus will be on development of motor skills and coordination. Please contact the Welcome Center for schedules and fees.

Tumbling

(Ages 3 & up) For beginners, this class covers the basics of tumbling and low balance beam. Please contact the Welcome Center for schedule and fees.

Cheerleading

(Ages 3 & up) Learn skills in basic chants, cheer formations, tumbling, dance and jumps. Please contact the Welcome Center for schedule and fees.

Drama

(Ages 4 & up) This theater-arts program will allow participants a creative venue to express thoughts and ideas, while developing communicative, academic and social skills. Please see the Welcome Center staff for schedules and fees.
