YMCA AfterSchool

(Grades K-8) YMCA AfterSchool is available during the academic school year. The program offers educational-based interest centers, games, dramatic play, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, homework assistance, enrichment and many other self-enhancement activities. Our philosophy is that we believe children are individuals and should be able to grow at their own rate through the positive direction of activities as well as by letting them create on their own, with guidance. The goal of the YMCA Afterschool is to support and strengthen the family unit while serving the school district and community. This program challenges its participants to accept and demonstrate the Search Institute’s Forty Developmental Assets and the YMCA five core values.
