Membership to the YMCA
The YMCA is a membership organization and therefore all participants must be members. You have 2 options in your membership to the YMCA.Facility Membership - Facility Membership is for those individuals or families who wish to have full facility use. A monthly membership is paid to the YMCA. Facility members are also eligible for reduced fees on programs.
Program Membership - Program Membership is for those who want to participate in programs or activities but do not have full facility use. The yearly program membership fee is $30 in addition to the fees of our programs and is renewable annually.
Facility Membership - Fees & Privileges Facility Membership fees include a one-time joining fee of $60 and monthly membership dues. Membership rates vary among Greater Houston Area YMCA facilities. Facility Membership privileges include:
• Fully trained staff are ready to assist you in achieving your goals.
• Variety of activities and classes for individuals and families.
• Clean and well-maintained facilities.
• Member savings on most YMCA programs that require a fee.
• Opportunities to volunteer and participate in programs and committees.

Reinstatement

Open Doors Scholarship Program
The YMCA is a nonprofit health and human services organization committed to helping people reach their full potential in spirit, mind and body. The YMCA is community-based and believes that its programs and services should be available to everyone regardless of age, background, ability or income. That’s why the YMCA offers financial assistance designed to fit your individual financial situation. Guests are given a maximum of three visits. All guests 17 years and younger must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and sign a waiver. Special circumstances such as out-of-town guests who will be visiting more than 7 times will need to make prior arrangements with the Member Services Director.Youth Activity Center
We’ll watch the kids while you work out! The Youth Activity Center maintains a 1.5 hour time limit. Parent must stay on site. For ages 6 weeks to 11 years.The Youth Activity Center is only available to YMCA Facility Members.

Kidz Zone
Kidz Zone is a summertime program that is an extension of our Youth Activity Center. Children ages 5-11 interact with children their own age, build a sense of self-esteem and personal worth, expand awareness of spirit, mind and body, and enhance the quality of “out of school” time through activities such as board games, puzzles, crafts, outside play, karaoke and more!Ages: 5-11
Session: June 1-August 20
Day/Time: Monday-Thursday 12:00pm-5:00pm
Location: Multi-Purpose Room
Kidz Zone is only available to YMCA Facility Members and adheres to the same polices as the Youth Activity Center. Time limit is 1.5 hours and parent must stay on site.
Facility Age Requirements
Ages 12 and up unless accompanied by an adult 18 or older. As well, 12- to 15-year-old members must stop by the Welcome Center, properly check in with a membership card and receive a wrist band to wear while they are in the facility.Wellness Center
Ages 12 and up. Members ages 12-15 years must attend a Teen Orientation before using the Wellness Center.Group Exercise Requirements
Ages 12 and up. See schedule for class times and descriptions. Please note that for Indoor Cycle Classes, bikes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We do not reserve bikes for class participants. In addition, bikes may not be “saved” from a previous class.Adult Locker Rooms
Children age 15 and younger must be accompanied by a parent. Children of the opposite sex are allowed in the locker rooms until age 3. There are two family changing rooms available.Lockers/Valuables
Members are responsible for providing their own lock. Lockers are available for day use only. Please do not leave articles in lockers overnight (they will be removed nightly). The YMCA assumes no responsibility for removed contents, cut locks, or lost, stolen or damaged property. The YMCA cannot assure the safety of your valuables. Please do not bring valuables to the YMCA. Coin operated lockers are available for smaller items. These lockers are located in the Wellness Center as well as in the hallway outside the locker rooms.Lost & Found
Please turn in all “found” articles to the Welcome Center. If you have lost an item, please inquire at the Welcome Center.First Aid and Emergencies
Should you need assistance for first aid, contact any staff person or go to the Welcome Center. Please locate the emergency exits throughout the building. In case of fire, please use the closest exit to leave the building. If you have a child in the Youth Activity Center, your child will be taken by a staff member to a safe place.Membership Cards & Photos
All members are issued a membership card and are required to have their picture taken. Members must present their membership card on every visit. Members who lose their membership card are required to replace it for a fee of $2.Disciplinary Action
If any member or guest violates any of the YMCA’s guidelines or abuses the facility, he or she may be indefinitely suspended from using the YMCA in the future. Any member or guest who provokes or partakes in any violent behavior such as fighting will be removed and membership revoked.Attire
Athletic shoes and shirts must be worn during exercise in all workout areas of the facility. Street shoes are not permitted on any wood floors, Wellness Center, or in the pool area. Proper swimsuits must be worn when using the pool.Membership Refund
No contracts. However, for membership refunds, a request must be made prior to 30 days from joining date to receive a full refund.Credit and Refund Policy
We trust you will be satisfied with your YMCA experience. However, should you decide to cancel your membership or program registration, the YMCA’s credit/refund policy is: The YMCA will issue a credit or refund in the amount of the original payment at the customer’s choice, when each of the following conditions has been met:• The Credit/Refund Form has been completed and returned along with proof of payment.
• The credit/refund has been approved by the appropriate supervisor.
Refunds for cash or check payments will have a 10-day waiting period before a refund is issued. All other credits or refunds will be processed immediately. Credits must be redeemed with 90 days of being issued.
